PEACE for ISRAEL

Psalm 122:6-9

King James Version

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

they shall prosper that love thee.

7 Peace be within thy walls,

and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes,

I will now say,

Peace be within thee.

9 Because of the house of the Lord our God

I will seek thy good.

How can turbulent Israel have peace?

How can her willfulness be turned to obedience?

How can she be saved from harm?

Whether from within, as it's happening now.

Or from external enemies, who wish her destroyed.

What would it take for GOD's "apple of his eye", to be saved?

The HOLY SPIRIT guided me to these very telling verses.

PEACE will come to Israel when they acknowledge JESUS as the MESSIAH:

2 Chronicles 7:14

King James Version

14 If my people,

which are called by my name,

shall humble themselves,

and pray,

and seek my face,

and turn from their wicked ways;

then will I hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin,

and will heal their land.

Matthew 23:37-39

King James Version

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,

thou that killest the prophets,

and stonest them which are sent unto thee,

how often would I have gathered thy children together,

even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings,

and ye would not!

38 Behold,

your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you,

Ye shall not see me henceforth,

till ye shall say,

Blessed is he that cometh

in the name of the Lord.

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye,

and believe the gospel.

Mark 6:4-6

King James Version

4 But Jesus, said unto them,

A prophet is not without honour,

but in his own country,

and among his own kin,

and in his own house.

5 And he could there do no mighty work,

save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk,

and healed them.

6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief.

And he went round about the villages,

teaching.

John 3:3-7

King James Version

3 Jesus answered and said unto him,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him,

How can a man be born when he is old?

can he enter the second time into his mother's womb,

and be born?

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

John 3:16-17

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world

to condemn the world;

but that the world through him

might be saved.

John 8:24

King James Version

24 I said therefore unto you,

that ye shall die in your sins:

for if ye believe not that I am he,

ye shall die in your sins.

John 15:5

King James Version

5 I am the vine,

ye are the branches:

He that abideth in me,

and I in him,

the same bringeth forth much fruit:

for without me ye can do nothing.

Acts 4:12

King James Version

12 Neither is there salvation in any other:

for there is none other name under heaven

given among men,

whereby we must be saved.

Israel can only have PEACE, through JESUS:

John 14:27

King James Version

27 Peace I leave with you,

my peace I give unto you:

not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled,

neither let it be afraid.

John 16:33

King James Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.

Romans 5:1

King James Version

5 Therefore being justified by faith,

we have peace with God

through our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians 14:33

King James Version

33 For God is not the author of confusion,

but of peace,

as in all churches of the saints.

Philippians 4:7

King James Version

7 And the peace of God,

which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds

through Christ Jesus.

James 3:17

King James Version

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,

then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated,

full of mercy and good fruits,

without partiality,

and without hypocrisy.

Romans 15:13

King James Version

13 Now the God of hope

fill you with all joy and peace in believing,

that ye may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Galatians 5:22-23

King James Version

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is

love, joy, peace, longsuffering,

gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance:

against such there is no law.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

King James Version

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body

be preserved blameless

unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And in case you're wondering why we speak of GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT in one breath, here's proof of Their unity:

1 John 5:7

King James Version

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven,

the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:

and these three are one.

P.S

10 October 2023 update:

As an ordinary citizen (from another country) making an observation on the state of Israel, I was particularly alarmed when their fighter pilots didn't want to train some seven months ago.

All I could say was, "Oh boy...there goes Israel's air defense" (which protects them all the time).

Trouble at home could mean great trouble from outside of it.

Israel will be a sitting duck for vultures waiting for an opening, especially for a sign of weakness.

Fighting within the government, among many factions, in many departments, have opened the country to great danger.

We all know the events of the last couple of days.

We all grieve at the loss of innocent lives.

Now, Israel seems united towards a common enemy.

By the GRACE of GOD, people will heed GOD's call.

To return to Him, to believe in His Son, JESUS, and to love each other.

The RAPTURE could occur any moment.

Where would unbelievers be?

What good would all this worldly power be?

JESUS will separate the wheat, from the chaff.

As in His parable of the wheat, and tares.

We will all be judged.

BATTLE of BROTHERS

Judges 21:25

King James Version

25 In those days there was no king in Israel:

every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

It's a sad day when brothers fight brothers.

Or when tribes fight other tribes.

Such happened when Israel had no king.

The fight started when a Levite's concubine was killed.

Judges 20:4-7

King James Version

4 And the Levite,

the husband of the woman that was slain,

answered and said,

I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin,

I and my concubine, to lodge.

5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me,

and beset the house round about upon me by night,

and thought to have slain me:

and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.

6 And I took my concubine,

and cut her in pieces,

and sent her throughout all the country

of the inheritance of Israel:

for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.

7 Behold, ye are all children of Israel;

give here your advice and counsel.

In response, the men of Israel made a decision:

Judges 20:8-11

King James Version

8 And all the people arose as one man, saying,

We will not any of us go to his tent,

neither will we any of us turn into his house.

9 But now this shall be the thing which we will do to Gibeah;

we will go up by lot against it;

10 And we will take ten men of an hundred

throughout all the tribes of Israel,

and an hundred of a thousand,

and a thousand out of ten thousand,

to fetch victual for the people,

that they may do,

when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin,

according to all the folly

that they have wrought in Israel.

11 So all the men of Israel

were gathered against the city,

knit together as one man.

The children of Israel demanded the surrender of the wicked men.

The tribe of Benjamin was one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Judges 20:12-13

King James Version

12 And the tribes of Israel sent men

through all the tribe of Benjamin, saying,

What wickedness is this that is done among you?

13 Now therefore deliver us the men,

the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah,

that we may put them to death,

and put away evil from Israel.

But the children of Benjamin would not hearken

to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.

The children of Benjamin and the children of Israel prepared to go to war.

Judges 20:14-17

King James Version

14 But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves

together out of the cities unto Gibeah,

to go out to battle against the children of Israel.

15 And the children of Benjamin

were numbered at that time out of the cities

twenty and six thousand men that drew sword,

beside the inhabitants of Gibeah,

which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.

16 Among all this people

there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded;

every one could sling stones at an hair breadth,

and not miss.

17 And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin,

were numbered four hundred thousand men

that drew sword: all these were men of war.

Having no king, the children of Israel sought the counsel of GOD:

Judges 20:18

King James Version

18 And the children of Israel arose,

and went up to the house of God,

and asked counsel of God, and said,

Which of us shall go up first

to the battle against the children of Benjamin?

And the Lord said, Judah shall go up first.

The result of the battle?

Judges 20:19-21

King James Version

19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning,

and encamped against Gibeah.

20 And the men of Israel

went out to battle against Benjamin;

and the men of Israel put themselves in array

to fight against them at Gibeah.

21 And the children of Benjamin

came forth out of Gibeah,

and destroyed down to the ground

of the Israelites that day

twenty and two thousand men.

After losing 22,000 men, the children of Israel sought GOD again:

Judges 20:23

King James Version

23 (And the children of Israel went up

and wept before the Lord until even,

and asked counsel of the Lord, saying,

Shall I go up again to battle

against the children of Benjamin my brother?

And the Lord said, Go up against him.)

The result of the second battle?

Judges 20:24-25

King James Version

24 And the children of Israel came near

against the children of Benjamin the second day.

25 And Benjamin went forth against them

out of Gibeah the second day,

and destroyed down to the ground

of the children of Israel again

eighteen thousand men;

all these drew the sword.

After losing 18,000 men, the children of Israel sought GOD a third time:

Judges 20:26-28

King James Version

26 Then all the children of Israel,

and all the people, went up,

and came unto the house of God,

and wept, and sat there before the Lord,

and fasted that day until even,

and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings

before the Lord.

27 And the children of Israel enquired of the Lord,

(for the ark of the covenant of God was there

in those days,

28 And Phinehas

the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron,

stood before it in those days,) saying,

Shall I yet again go out to battle

against the children of Benjamin my brother,

or shall I cease?

And the Lord said,

Go up; for to morrow I will deliver them

into thine hand.

The result of the third battle?

Judges 20:35

King James Version

35 And the Lord smote Benjamin before Israel:

and the children of Israel destroyed

of the Benjamites that day

twenty and five thousand and an hundred men:

all these drew the sword.

Judges 20:46-48

King James Version

46 So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were

twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword;

all these were men of valour.

47 But six hundred men turned

and fled to the wilderness unto the rock Rimmon,

and abode in the rock Rimmon four months.

48 And the men of Israel turned again

upon the children of Benjamin,

and smote them with the edge of the sword,

as well the men of every city,

as the beast, and all that came to hand:

also they set on fire all the cities that they came to.

The point of this article?

In any kind of war, when GOD says you will have the victory, you surely will.

We need the anointing of the LORD, that our efforts may bear fruit.

Only GOD has the capability to see the end, from the beginning.

Isaiah 46:10

King James Version

10 Declaring the end from the beginning,

and from ancient times

the things that are not yet done,

saying,

My counsel shall stand,

and I will do all my pleasure:

The next article explores how PEACE can come to Jerusalem, and Israel.

UNREST from within

The LORD JESUS said:

Mark 3:24-25

King James Version

24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself,

that kingdom cannot stand.

25 And if a house be divided against itself,

that house cannot stand.

Last night, SPIRIT and I wrote about GOD's promises for Israel.

And the fate of nations fighting against His chosen nation.

But what if the fighting is from within?

As is in the case of embattled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The people have been resisting his judicial reforms.

It's been a 12-week long battle, which accelerated yesterday.

Whether his reforms are going too fast for the people, whether the left want him out, it seems the fight against him is well-funded.

The whole world is watching, especially Israel's enemies.

Herein is Satan's crafty move.

With many nations unaware of his destructive ways.

Nor his spirit's influence upon each person.

With only ONE real objective -- to destroy Israel.

If he wishes to circumvent prophecy, he found another way.

As is always the case.

Through deception.

And manipulation.

By feeding upon man's sinful nature.

We must be vigilant, for the Bible did say:

Ephesians 6:12

King James Version

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities,

against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this world,

against spiritual wickedness in high places.

1 John 5:19

King James Version

19 And we know that we are of God,

and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Revelation 12:12

King James Version

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens,

and ye that dwell in them.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!

for the devil is come down unto you,

having great wrath,

because he knoweth that

he hath but a short time.

Satan knows Scripture.

He'd rather Israel destroy herself from within.

We can imagine how he's gloating right now.

He tried thwarting the Messiah in the past.

One instance comes to mind:

Matthew 2:12-13

King James Version

12 And being warned of God in a dream

that they should not return to Herod,

they departed into their own country another way.

13 And when they were departed,

behold,

the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph

in a dream, saying,

Arise,

and take the young child and his mother,

and flee into Egypt,

and be thou there until I bring thee word:

for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Today, Satan hopes to thwart GOD's plans for the salvation of Israel.

But as in the previous, that's all false hope.

It will not happen.

Scripture attests to it.

Isaiah 14:26-27

King James Version

26 This is the purpose that is purposed

upon the whole earth:

and this is the hand that is stretched out

upon all the nations.

27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed,

and who shall disannul it?

and his hand is stretched out,

and who shall turn it back?

With this matter of civil unrest, SPIRIT led me to Scripture.

To another unrest among the 12 tribes of Israel.

The next post tells that story.
